After a recent visit to the cadbury's chocolate factory in Bourneville, I decided to experiment making my own chocolates. So after numerous (and I stress numerous) attempts I finally managed to make this shoe! It isnt as easy as they made it look but it was great fun and I will definitely keep trying and look at ways of making my own chocolates more often.

Cady's Princess Castle Cake

One of my all time favourite cakes - a castle cake for a girly girl who loves pink! This cake was an absolute joy to make despite the long hours but then again if you want to have all those details it's not a cake that you would rush to finish. I started with making the towers and turretts( I couldn't even tell you how many little fondant circles I cut for the turrets tops),then baked the cakes, allowed to cool, torted, covered with pink icing and then attached the towers. Then came the best part - finishing touches. I hand made(countless) little blossom flowers and leaves for the trailing Ivy.Then I added the flags to the tops hand painted in Gold lustre and Lastly- finished with edible glitter for that added sparkle(which doesnt show up in the photos). Here are some of the photos I took and I hope you enjoy looking at them.TFL and your feedback will be highly appreciated.

Chocolate and Blue themed cake

I made this cake for our friend and next door neighbour Pete who was celebrating a very special birthday this weekend. Pete wanted something simple, with blue icing and very chocolaty! So keeping this in mind, I made a chocolate cake with blue icing and a shooting stars topper in silver, brown and blue colours. I always make my own modelling paste and that is what I have used for the stars. And oh yes, the buttercream filling in between the cake layers was also coloured blue for added effect! I hope it goes down well. Thanks for looking.

This was a birthday cake for someone who loves fancy cars. It was by far the most challenging cake I've made this year but alot of fun to make especially while adding all the little details to make it more special like the recipients name on the number plate, etc hope you enjoy looking at the photos!

Twilight Book Cake

Here's a cake I made for a young lady who has been following the Twilight/New moon saga. This cake was a surprise for her and as I have not read any of the books I decided to look up the different versions available and this is what I came up with. This particular book is supposed to be the hardcover limited edition which has red pages. She was thrilled and seeing her face light up made my day! Hope you will enjoy looking at it. Thank you.
